Francesco Bardi is an Early Stage Researcher at BCL, enrolled as a PhD student at Ecole des Mines de Saint-Étienne. He obtained the Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2019. After working for one year as a CFD Methodology Engineer at Scuderia Alpha Tauri he joined BCL in 2020 within the framework of the MeDiTATe project.

His research activity is focused on the development of a mock loop for in-vitro testing and in-silico model for ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm treatment. His main areas of interest include: CFD and computational biomechanics, fluid structure interaction, deep learning for surrogate modelling and uncertainty quantification.
