Martino A. Scarpolini is an Early Stage Researcher at BCL and TechneValue GmbH. He is enrolled in the “MeDiTATe” programme as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD student. He obtained the Master Degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Roma “Tor Vergata” in 2020 and started the “MeDiTATe” project in the same year.

During his Master thesis, he developed a Generative Adversarial Network for the generation of particle’s velocities inside an homogeneous and isotropic turbulent flow. His research interests are focused on physical models, deep learning and computer science. During his career he focused on CFD, turbulence and deep learning.

His main research activity deals with the development of a deep learning pipeline for the analysis and segmentation of the ascending thoracic aorta from CTA scans.
