About us

The Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio is a Research Hospital of the Regional Health Service, , Ente Pubblico Specialistico, pursuant to Law Regione Toscana n. 85/2009.

The Foundations was established by National Research Counncil and Tuscan Region for the management and development of specialist health and public health research activities, carried out by the Institute of Clinical Physiology CNR.

Two are the centres of the activities: San Cataldo Hospital-CNR in Pisa and Ospedale del Cuore in Massa.
The Foundation is a centre of high specialty for the treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, including rare diseases of specific interest, such as congenital heart disease, hereditary dyslipidemias, hemochromatosis, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac amyloidosis.
