Introduction
Fondazione Toscana “Gabriele Monasterio” is a specialist hospital dedicated to the treatment and research in the field of cardiopulmonary and related diseases.
Training, aimed at the development and improvement of individual professional skills, represents a function of strategic value, and is an instrument for the enhancement of human resources, a particularly crucial element for the Foundation.
The special nature of the Foundation and its mission, in terms of highly specialised clinics, innovation and research in the health sector, and the outstanding results achieved over the years, are in fact firmly rooted in the skills and professionalism of its human resources.
Training, particularly of medical and health personnel, is a process that accompanies every health professional throughout their career, enhancing their skills and aptitudes.
Each year the Foundation prepares the Training Plan on the basis of the training needs that have emerged and the objectives set.
Since 2020, the Foundation has been an ECM PROVIDER of the Tuscany Region and is part of the Regional Training Network.
The Foundation hosts specialised residential courses in advanced imaging, as well as constantly having trainees, postgraduates, students and attendants from Italian and foreign universities and health and research facilities in its facilities.
The Institute, also in collaboration with the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the CNR, carries out seminars, conferences and congresses, as well as emergency training courses.
Finally, of particular importance are the International Master’s Degrees created in collaboration with the Scuola Superiore di Studi e di Perfezionamento “S. Anna” in Pisa, in particular:
